The procedure for reviewing papers in Zeszyty Naukowe, Akademia Morska w Szczecinie (Scientific Journals of The Maritime University of Szczecin) takes into account the recommendations of the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The authors who submit a paper for publication in a scientific journal agree to the review process. The submitted papers are formally evaluated by the Editorial Board and then are reviewed by two reviewers, who are specialists within the relevant field. The paper is never evaluated by the reviewer with the same affiliation as the author. All reviews are anonymous - both the author and the reviewers do not know each other's names ("double-blind review"). The paper is given a reference number for future correspondence. The author is notified of the review process result.
The list of reviewers is always published in the last issue of the SJ for a given year. The list of reviewers cooperating with the magazine is published on the website. The paper is published when it receives two positive reviews.
